The award winner is provided with studio space, as well as a budget for materials and a monthly stipend. The programme culminates in a solo exhibition showcasing the award winner’s work. Last year's winner was artist Tendai Mupita. In 2019, the Blessing Ngobeni Art Prize is collaborating with Aspire Art Auctions to officially launch the Prize with an auction on the 30 April 2019, where funds will be raised for the BNAP recipient. The solo exhibition will be held at Everard Read's CIRCA Gallery in Johannesburg, more details to follow.
